While systematic violations of the right to life persist across Egyptian detention facilities, we present to the public our comprehensive study exposing the structural impunity sustaining this lawlessness.
Our report demonstrates that deaths in custody cannot be framed as isolated incidents or routine administrative failures. Rather, through the mandatory provisions of international law, it establishes that these fatalities are the direct result of deliberate medical neglect, systematic torture, and arbitrary judicial executions.
Based on first-hand documentation, medical records, and legal case files, our findings are clear: the denial of healthcare and prolonged isolation function as deliberate punitive measures, torture remains widespread, and capital sentences handed down by exceptional courts violate basic fair trial guarantees. This framework implicates not only the direct perpetrators, but also the state oversight bodies whose failure to act renders them institutional safeguards against accountability.
